How do I know if my building needs fireproofing?
If you're in commercial construction, offices, schools, hospitals, or warehouses, there's a good chance building codes require some form of fireproofing on structural steel or other areas. Not sure? Ask your GC or your local code office, or just call us and we'll walk you through it.
What types of fireproofing do you offer, and how do I know which is right for my project?
We install both spray-applied fireproofing and intumescent coatings. Spray is common for hidden steel in walls or ceilings, intumescent is more for exposed steel where you need to keep the look clean. It comes down to code requirements, aesthetics, and budget. We can recommend a product for your specific situation.
How long does fireproofing installation usually take?
It depends on your building size and what you need done. A single area might be a day or two, a big hospital could take weeks, especially if there are multiple trades working at once. We'll give you a real timeline once we see the plans.
Will fireproofing make a mess or disrupt other trades on my jobsite?
If you plan it right, not much. We work with the GC and other trades to keep things moving, keep areas clean, and minimize downtime. No one likes a messy jobsite, including us.
How much does commercial fireproofing cost?
Prices vary by material, thickness, access, and building size. No two jobs are the same. We give honest, upfront bids, no surprises or gotcha charges later. Give us your drawings and we'll get you a real number.
What states do you work in?
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, Minnesota and Wisconsin, out of Round Rock, Texas. We travel for the right project and we are prequalified with national and regional general contractors across the territory.
Are you prequalified, bonded and insured?
Yes. We carry commercial general liability, auto, workers compensation and umbrella coverage, and we go through GC prequalification regularly. Send us your prequal packet and insurance requirements with the bid documents and we will return them completed.
Do you self-perform, or do you sub the work out?
Self-perform, on all five services. That is the reason a GC can hand us fireproofing, intumescent, K-13, spray foam and Core-Fill on one job and get one submittal package, one schedule and one company responsible for all of it.
