**We work Plainview**Plainview Elementary is ours. Plainview Elementary is on our projects page. K-13 sprayed to the deck, left exposed as the finished ceiling.

**Five services, one sub**Fireproofing, intumescent, K-13, spray foam and Core-Fill self-performed in Plainview, so the whole package sits with one company on your schedule.

**Our own crews**Plainview schedules with our Lubbock and Amarillo work, which is what keeps a Hale County job affordable.

**Climate Zone 4B**Hale County. The zone is what the energy code keys off, and it is the reason a detail that works on the Gulf Coast is not automatically right here.

Plainview

A Plainview number that holds
after award.

Bahl Fireproofing has been a commercial fireproofing subcontractor since 1977, working out of Round Rock, Texas. In Plainview we self-perform spray-applied fireproofing, intumescent coatings, K-13 sprayed fiber, spray foam and Core-Fill masonry insulation on our own crews and our own equipment.

What we do before we price a Plainview job is confirm the adopted code edition and the local amendments with the authority having jurisdiction. That is the whole reason our number does not turn into a change order in month three, and it is the section below.

### The code Plainview actually adopted

Plainview is on the 2015 I-codes: the 2015 IBC under Ordinance 17-3646 adopted 24 January 2017, the 2015 IECC under Ordinance 17-3648 adopted 28 February 2017, and the 2015 IFC under Ordinance 16-3642 adopted 25 October 2016. That is three editions behind the North Texas cities we also work in, and it is exactly the kind of gap that turns a copied detail into a correction notice. The city carries its 2015 IBC amendments as a separate attachment to the code chapter, which we read per job rather than assume.

Plainview is in Climate Zone 4B (Hale County), which is what sets the envelope side of the job. We price the assembly on your drawings against the edition this jurisdiction enforces, not the model code.

## Plainview questions

Do you actually work in Plainview, or just bid it?

Plainview Elementary is ours. Plainview Elementary is on our projects page. K-13 sprayed to the deck, left exposed as the finished ceiling.

Which code edition applies in Plainview?

Plainview is on the 2015 I-codes: the 2015 IBC under Ordinance 17-3646 adopted 24 January 2017, the 2015 IECC under Ordinance 17-3648 adopted 28 February 2017, and the 2015 IFC under Ordinance 16-3642 adopted 25 October 2016. That is three editions behind the North Texas cities we also work in, and it is exactly the kind of gap that turns a copied detail into a correction notice. The city carries its 2015 IBC amendments as a separate attachment to the code chapter, which we read per job rather than assume.

What climate zone is Plainview in?

Climate Zone 4B, Hale County. That is the figure the adopted energy code keys off, and it drives the insulation specification and which side of the assembly the vapour control belongs on.

How fast can you mobilize to Plainview?

Plainview schedules with our Lubbock and Amarillo work, which is what keeps a Hale County job affordable.

Do you sub the work out in Plainview?

No. Our own crews and our own equipment come to Plainview. Nobody local is carrying our name on your project, which is why the install standard is the same here as it is on a job outside our own front door.

What do you need to give me a number?

Drawings with the rated assemblies, the spec sections for the systems in our scope, the substrate, the areas by square foot and the bid due date. If the documents are unclear we ask rather than guess.

What states do you work in?

Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, Minnesota and Wisconsin, out of Round Rock, Texas. We travel for the right project and we are prequalified with national and regional general contractors across the territory.

Are you prequalified, bonded and insured?

Yes. We carry commercial general liability, auto, workers compensation and umbrella coverage, and we go through GC prequalification regularly. Send us your prequal packet and insurance requirements with the bid documents and we will return them completed.

## The rest of Texas
